SCOTT KEYS

Scott Keys has always been committed to helping people, animals, and the environment. After graduating from Ontario’s Durham College, Scott worked as Manager of Telemarketing for the Lung Association of Alberta, as Canvass Director for Greenpeace Canada, and as Director of Development for the Canadian Diabetes Association. In the private sector, Scott served in the Community Relations Department at Ontario Hydro. As General Manager of a large call centre in Ottawa, he was the driving force behind many successful client campaigns, including WNET Public Broadcasting, New York.

In 1996 Scott and his wife Alison went solo, launching a direct marketing company from their kitchen with one phone and a few local clients. Soon the fledgling company was successful enough for them to hire three people and move the operation into a space in their basement, where Scott and Alison worked the phones while Alison’s mom looked after the kids upstairs. Since then Keys Direct Marketing & Communications has grown into a thriving international operation of fifty employees generating over $100 million in revenues for its non-profit and corporate clients.
